The Strategy and Quality Management Office was established on January 1, 2017, and continues its operations with 2 staff members and unit quality officers.

The Strategy and Quality Management Office is responsible for enhancing the quality of services provided within the university, conducting process improvement initiatives, setting and monitoring targets, managing certification activities, and ensuring their continuity.

Following the publication of the Higher Education Quality Assurance Regulation in the Official Gazette on July 23, 2015, the KTO Karatay University Quality Commission was established. The Quality Management Office continues its work to support the duties of the Quality Commission and to coordinate efforts among the various units.

The Quality Management Office undertakes the following activities within the university:

  • Establishing and ensuring the sustainability of management systems within the university,
  • Creating, monitoring, and controlling the necessary documents for the Quality Management System,
  • Enhancing the efficiency of work processes conducted throughout the university,
  • Ensuring the provision of quality services,
  • Facilitating the participation of internal and external stakeholders in the process of setting strategic goals,
  • Ensuring the philosophy of continuous improvement is internalized by all units and employees,
  • Evaluating and developing processes, having quality levels approved and recognized through independent external evaluation,
  • Setting process and university targets and monitoring performance,
  • Evaluating educational, research, and administrative services in line with the university's strategic plan and goals,
  • Identifying institutional indicators and conducting related activities according to the procedures and principles set by the Higher Education Quality Council,
  • Conducting internal evaluations and preparing an annual institutional evaluation report that includes the results of institutional evaluation and quality improvement activities to be presented to top management.

KTO Karatay University's approach to institutional management is carried out within the framework of quality management system standards, with the ISO 9001 Quality Management System adopted as the overarching framework. Under this umbrella, the ISO 10002 Customer Satisfaction Quality Management System, ISO 13811 Hygiene and Sanitation Management System, ISO 27001 Information Security Management System, ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, ISO 50001 Energy Management System, Safe Campus, and Zero Waste System have been integrated into a comprehensive and holistic structure.
